Ryan Cochran (Ph.D.) |
|
Ryan first came to Brown University from West Chester, PA as an undergraduate student in engineering, and graduated with Honors in the spring of 2008 with a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering. He returned to Brown as a M.Sc. student in the fall of 2008, but has since decided to continue his studies as a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Brown. He is currently advised by Professor Sherief Reda. Ryan's principal research areas include thermal modeling, management, and tool development for current and future nano-scale integrated circuit technologies. In 2009, a paper of his was accepted by the Design Automation Conference (DAC), located in San Francisco, CA, where he is scheduled to speak in the summer of 2009. Ryan is also an avid musician, having performed as principal cellist for numerous orchestras before and during his Brown career, including the Brown University Orchestra.
